Thann Sanctuary is a Thai spa brand that I trust since I’ve tried its treatments in Bangkok on several occasions. So when I saw Thann Sanctuary Spa at St Petersburg’s Nevsky Centre, I was tempted to book a session.

When I went into the spa to enquire about the treatments, I was told that I’m able to choose my preferred therapist from its website, www.thann-spa.ru.  I was surprised when I read the therapist’s profiles – Thann’s therapists are very experienced and have strong credentials. That was the push factor for me to squeeze some time out from my tour itinerary to book myself into an hour’s relaxation.

Thann’s Sanctuary Spa in Nevsky Centre has a similar look and feel as the one in Bangkok. There are four treatment rooms in this branch. The treatment rooms are spacious and have an attached bathroom in every one of them. I had the 60-min Thann AromaTherapy Massage. I was given a choice of Thann’s treatment oils for the massage and I picked an orange-scented oil. For the next hour, it was pure bliss.  The therapist’s strokes were firm yet not too forceful.  It was so relaxing that I it was justified to forgo some sight seeing time for an hour’s relaxation.  My friend tried the 60-min sport massage and the treatment was equally excellent.

But nothing prepared us for the next surprise. We received a 20% discount off the treatment since we are staying at the Crown Plaza St Petersburg Ligovsky.  With the discount, it made our treatments even more worthwhile.

We were so impressed with the treatments that we booked another session the following day just before we were scheduled to leave for Moscow. And without fail, we were once again wowed by the relaxing and excellent treatments.
