I love to shop. And when I’m in Bangkok, I can spend hours walking leisurely in the glitzy malls and exploring every interesting store that I come across. This is why I just enjoy shopping (or window shopping) at Siam Paragon. Although it can get very crowded at times, there is always a quiet corner to rest your tired feet.

Thann Restaurant is located on the M floor at one extreme end of Siam Paragon. And despite all the traffic and noise in the mall, Thann Restaurant offers much warmth and serenity.

I was there recently to enjoy its Afternoon Tea. At THB460, the afternoon tea set menu is relatively good value for money. The Afternoon Tea set includes a drink and a good selection of scones, pastries, sandwiches and cakes. I ordered the Vanilla and Ginger Iced Tea to accompany the pastries.

The three-tiered set of pastries, savoury sandwiches and desserts are quite standard. But every item is well prepared. My favourite is the smoked salmon sandwich.  And also, the afternoon set is sufficient for two.  Hence, there’s really no need to order individual sets if you just want to have a short rest. It’s nice to make a pit stop at this café before you continue with the shopping.
